Excellent epic BM, reminding the glorious 93-96 era and bands such as Enslaved, isengard, Windir and Ulver. Favorite track: Gunthvanon.

Luke Tapping into the off-kilter folk-metal stylings of bands like Windir, a diverse and curious (I'm trying not to say weird) record worth investigating if you're into that era.

about

So much is written and recorded about big historical figures, deities, and nobility. Wierde rather focuses on local history, townfolk and workers as inspiration. The lyrics are an interpretation of Old Low Franconian, based on archeological findings and studies.

Musically, this record is an homage to 90s Folk Black Metal acts like Enslaved, Windir, Kampfar and Isengard and their more contemporary heirs like Myrkgrav.
